DR & AJU and the Korea In-house Counsel Association successfully co-hosted a seminar on “Foreign Exchange Compliance and a New Self-Examination System of the Korea Customs Service” on May 21.

The seminar began with opening remarks from Dong Eon CHA, Head of DR & AJU’s Compliance Group, and Yun Gyo RYU, Chairman of the ESG and Compliance Division of the Korea In-house Counsel Association. In the first session, DR & AJU Partner In Wook HWANG delivered a presentation titled “Foreign Exchange Compliance – Theory and Practice.” The second session featured a presentation by DR & AJU CCA’s Managing Customs Consultant Ki Seop JEONG on “Response Strategies to the Korea Customs Service’s Foreign Exchange Transaction Inspection and a New Self-Examination System.” The seminar concluded with a third session by DR & AJU Partner You Lee JUNG, who spoke on “Criminal Cases Involving Violations of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act and Key Takeaways.”

A number of corporate attendees participated in the seminar to gain practical insights into compliance with the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. The event provided a clear overview of recent regulatory changes and, drawing on DR & AJU’s expertise and hands-on experience, offered actionable strategies that companies can apply in practice.
