DR & AJU, Tongmyong University, and Chosun University Sign an MOU for the Effective Implementation of the University-based Retirement Community Project
On the 7th, DR & AJU signed an MOU with Tongmyong University (President Ho Hwan JEON) and Chosun University (President Chun Seong KIM) for the promotion of the “University-Based Retirement Community (UBRC)” project.
The UBRC project involves universities taking the lead in establishing residential facilities exclusively for seniors on their campuses, alongside offering lifelong education programs. This concept, which has been embraced by over 100 universities worldwide, including Stanford University in the U.S., has been in operation for more than 30 years. Tongmyong University is preparing to build residential facilities for approximately 600 households near the main entrance of its campus, while Chosun University plans to develop housing for around 700 households near Chosun University Hospital.
DR & AJU will provide comprehensive legal and advisory services through a dedicated team to ensure the successful and efficient establishment and operation of senior dormitory-style universities. Collaborating with the Korean UBRC Committee, DR & AJU will offer extensive legal counsel for the establishment of UBRC at both universities.
