DR & AJU LLC represented Company J (“Client”) in litigation for the violation of the Clean Air Conservation Act. Client is a company that manufactures and sells additives for vehicles and was charged with failing to have product tests that are essential for Client before sales. We obtained an acquittal for Client in the first trial by actively defending that punishment provisions should be interpreted strictly, the principle of clarity and absence of intention. We won the second trial, which was appealed by the prosecutor, with the court’s dismissal of the appeal, and the ruling was confirmed after the prosecution’s waiver of appeal.
